Penguins Open Horizon League Play Against Milwaukee, Green Bay

The Youngstown State women's tennis team opens Horizon League play this weekend at the Avalon Athletic Club in Boardman (formerly the Boardman Tennis Center).

The Penguins have won the last three contests against the Panthers and have won five straight against Green Bay. The Guins have each of the past four contests 7-0 against the Phoenix.

This spring, YSU has won six of its last eight contests to improve to 6-9 on the campaign. The Guins were last in action on March 15 when they picked up an impressive victory at Akron.

Milwaukee enters the weekend with a 4-10 overall mark while Green Bay is 1-5. The Phoenix, who last played on March 2, play Cleveland State on Saturday before heading to Youngstown.

Newcomer Anastasiia Khokhlova leads the Guins with nine victories in dual play this spring. Senior Noelly Longi Nsimba has seven wins while Sofia Macias and Tamara Teufl each have six.
