YSU Drops Decision to Cal State Fullerton

Fullerton, Calif. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Cal State Fullerton on Sunday at the Titan Tennis Courts.

The Titans (7-2) won all three doubles matches and won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.

At No. 1 singles, Imaan Hassim lost in three sets to Karla Portalatin. Hassim won the first set 6-3 before dropping the next two, 6-0, 6-1. 

At No. 3 singles, Lisa Khamassi suffered a hard-fought 7-6, 6-0 defeat to Caisey Lee Emery.

In doubles, Fullerton won 6-4 at No. 1, 6-3 at No. 2 and 6-2 at No. 3.

The Penguins are in action on Monday at 5 p.m. Eastern Time / 2 p.m. Pacific Time when they visit Cal State Northridge.
