YSU Wins Doubles Match, Falls to Cal State Northridge

The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Cal State Northridge on Monday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Courts.

The Penguins picked up a win at No. 3 doubles as Lisa Khamassi and Cassandra Moraleja won 6-3. However, CSUN won at No. 1 and No. 2 to claim the point.

The Matadors won all six singles matches in straight sets. At No. 1, Imaan Hassim lost a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Monika Van De Vondel while at No. 2, Tamara Teufl lost 7-5, 6-3 to Jolene Coetzee.

YSU returns to action on Wednesday when it plays at Long Beach State.
