YSU Has Impressive 7-0 Win Over Dayton

Dayton, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Dayton on Sunday morning at the Five Seasons Sports Club.

YSU won five of the six singles matches in straight sets and was victorious in two of the three doubles contest.

At No. 1 singles, Imaan Hassim won 6-4, 7-5 over Mattea Kilstofte. At No. 2, Tamara Teufl earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Natalie Allen. Lisa Khamassi picked up a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Kelly Pleiman at No. 3 singles. At No. 4, Cassandra Moraleja won 6-2, 6-0 over Anna Delaney. Elvira Esteo picked up a 6-0, 4-6, 10-5 win over Mary Brascia at No. 5 singles. Lucia Zagar remained unbeaten during the dual season with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kristina Benjamin at No. 6.

in doubles play, YSU picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3. At No. 1, Teufl and Esteo earned a 6-4 victory while Khamassi and Zagar won 6-4 at No. 3.

The Penguins are next in action on Friday when they visit UNLV in Las Vegas.
