PIttsburgh, Pa. -- Junior Xena Maali and sophomore Matthew Mangus posted team-best times for the Youngstown State women's and men's cross country teams, respectively, at the Duquesne Duals on Saturday morning.
Maali recorded a time of 20:00.06 to finish in 13th place in the 5K. Junior Raquel Markulin finished 15th with a time of 20:12.91 and freshman Hailey Zelinsky posted a time of 20:14.26 to finish 16th. Sophomore Casey Zaitzew was 18th with a of 20:31.57, freshman Ashley Ventimiglia ran 20:35.32 to place 19, sophomore Charlotte Crouch was 20th with a time of 21:19.57 and sophomore Emma Hunkus ran a 21:22.75 to place 21st.
On the men's side, Mangus ran a 26:52.02 to finish 13th in the 8K while freshman Luke Baun was 16th with a time of 28:12.12. Freshman Ethan Dobler posted a time of 28:25.09 and placed 17 while freshman Joey Stafford was 18th with a time of 28:43.01. Mikel Lagaras was 19th with a time of 29:10.59 while freshman John Gula placed 20th with a time of 29:20.39.
