The Youngstown State men's basketball program posted the best summer camp turnout in the program's history last week at the annual Half-Court Camp.
The Penguins hosted 147 campers at the Half-Court Camp from June 16-19. The Half-Court Camp offered a half day of teaching, skill instruction, games, and contests aimed to improve overall skill level.
Youngstown State also boasted nearly 70 campers at the Full-Court Camp on June 9-12. The Full-Court Camp offered a full day of skill instruction, games, and contests.
During the Team Shootout, the Penguins welcomed 20 teams to campus on June 8.
The program is also hosting an Advanced Skills Camp on July 1-2. Participants will receive specific instruction on improvng footwook, shooting technique, ball handling, passing, rebounding, and offensive and defensive individual and team concepts.
There will be a focus on developing fundamental skills necessary for successful team play and applyng skills in game-like situations.
