The Youngstown State men's basketball team will hold its Fifth Annual Tipoff Banquet, Sunday, Oct. 30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall in Youngstown, Ohio.
The featured speaker will be Assistant Coach Stew Robinson, who played at Indiana University from 1982-86 under legendary coach Bob Knight. During his career, Robinson teamed with current UCLA men's basketball Head Coach Steve Alford to make one of the most formidable backcourts in Indiana basketball history.
Robinson was a three-year starter and two-time assist leader at Indiana (1982-86), helping the Hoosiers advance to three NCAA Tournaments, including two "Sweet 16" berths. He was also a member of Indiana's 1982-83 Big Ten Conference championship team. During his career, Robinson scored 630 points and dished out 391 assists.
Doors open at 3 p.m. with a buffett dinner at 3:30 p.m. and the program starts at 4:15 p.m.
Individual tickets are $35 while tables of eight are $280. Fans can also sponsor a player for $20.
